Questions and Answers
Q: What do your Sunday mornings usually look like?
A: I get up without an alarm, usually around 8 a.m. I give my cat his breakfast, then I make myself some breakfast and tea, and enjoy them in the living room. Then I read and cuddle with my cat, and around 11:30 a.m. I get ready to go to my parents’ for lunch.
Q: Are all your Sundays the same?
A: Pretty much. My Sunday mornings are always the same – as are the afternoons and evenings. After lunch, I spend some time with my parents. At about 4 p.m. I meet a friend for a walk, and in the evening I have my beauty time.
Q: Do you like to have everything planned out, or do you prefer to go with the flow? Why?
A:I prefer to go with the flow because I get disappointed when my plans don’t work out the way I want them to.
Q:What did your Sunday mornings look like when you were a child / when your children were little?
A: When I was younger, I used to sleep until 10 a.m. and have a small breakfast while reading a book.
Q:What’s the one thing you look forward to on a Sunday?
A:Probably my beauty time. I really like it because I feel like a fresh, new person afterwards.
Q: Is there something you’d like to add or introduce into your Sunday routine? Why?
A: Not really – I think it’s quite perfect as it is.
Q:What do you think about Ben’s Sunday morning routine? Is there something you’d do yourself?
A:I like it. It’s very relaxing and peaceful. Maybe I’d eat breakfast on a patio, if I had one.
Q: Which day of the week is your favourite? Why?
A: Saturday. I feel like everything quietens down on Saturdays.
Q: Are you a fan of mindfulness? How do you practise it?
A: Yes. I read, I have my beauty time, I go for walks, I enjoy nature, I make art and do some crafts, and I go to the sauna.
Q: Do you think it’s important to have time for yourself? Why?
A:Of course – everyone needs some time to wind down after the day or week. I think it’s important to take at least half an hour every day to do something for yourself and for your mind.
