Past Simple – Talking about the Last Weekend

Grammar Focus: to be in the past

I am at home. (present)      I was at home. (past)

I/he/she/it was … → I was at the cinema.
You/we/they were … → We were at a party.
Negative: wasn’t / weren’t → I wasn’t at home. They weren’t at the theatre.
Yes/No Question: Was/Were … ? → Were you at the doctor’s?
