Grammar – Some/Any, Much/Many, Containers

some – v kladných vetách: There are some apples.

any – v otázkach a záporoch: Are there any bananas? There aren’t any bananas.

much/many – množstvo: How much water do you drink? How many eggs are there?

Containers & Quantities – a bottle of water, a loaf of bread, a packet of rice.

💬 Speaking Questions with Sample Answers

Q: What food do you usually buy every week? A: I usually buy some bread, milk, eggs, and vegetables. I sometimes buy some meat or fish at the supermarket.

Q: How many eggs do you eat in a week? A: I eat about six eggs every week. I usually eat them for breakfast at the weekend.

Q: How much water or juice do you drink every day? A: I drink about two litres of water every day. I don’t drink much juice, maybe one glass in the evening.

Q: Do you usually buy a bottle of water or a carton of juice? Why? A: I usually buy bottles of water because I drink it at work. Sometimes I buy a carton of orange juice for breakfast.
